  I hear ya, Man… The 4x series has been around quite a while… It was time for an infusion of something new… Would have been cool, if the 5x series was “in addition to” the 4x, as opposed to “instead of”…

  I hear ya, Man.. Congrats on the 42! I was tempted to throw in a Baliyo into the vid, but resisted

  I think the 5x series will come into its own… It is a sweet knife… It just need time for everyone to get more used to it.

  Just work a lot… and just different allocation of disposable cash… Everyone’s got their own thing.. Some people do guns,others do big vacations, travel, others like gambling, stocks, car mods, stereos, computers, etc. You name it, every one’s got their own vices.. Mine just happens to be knives right now

  Ah man, come on, it’s the 42! Still my favorite, even though I also own the 51 amongst a variety of other Balis.

  I’d agree with the discontinuation of the 42 only if they replaced it with other channel bali that was better.

  Great review Dave, 5 stars! I’ve got my eye on a Benchmade Bali-song for Christmas. I’m having a tough time deciding between the BM42 and the new BM51. Really tough decision for me! I like the full handle titanium handles and the traditional look of the BM42 more. But the BM51 looks pretty sweet as well…don’t know if I care for the G10 handles much though. If you could have only one…which one would you pick??? Thanks
