take alittle rubber O-ring and put it on the latch, it will make the latch stay out, or use the rubber guard on the nails that have them

Buddy, those pre latch gate, ZAMAK’s are pretty rare models, even though ZAMAk is another word for Munky Metal or Pot Metal, its still rare and gorgeous.

Thanks, Man… appreciate the heads-up :) When I bought them, I never even thought they’d last this long (hence the multiple purchases)… they did/do wear out very fast… Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the clarification, much appreciated! I had added a small comment in the description, but your comments provides much better history. Thanks!

those 3 especially the PCC model are eye candy to Balisong lovers, this is a very amazing video trust me, i have only seen i think 3 other PCC models on video before but never those ZAMAKS… actually, the only time ive ever even seen those man is when i saw a photo copy of the old catalog. so your collection is VERY nice my friend.

Heya man… much thanks! One quick clarification, and sorry I may have been a bit misleading in the vid, but all of them are Post-PCC Balisongs… I was just remembering PCC and happened to be holding an old one.. Sorry for any confusion… They were all under the “Benchmade” at the time…

I do wish I still had the PCC Bali I started out on, but it was “removed” from my care… And I replaced it with the above… Thanks for the enthusiasm and comments! Much appreciated!

I would love to get the trainer balisong but its just so expensive i ended up just buying the BM32 instead (which i was gunna get anyways so its not a big deal)

Very cool, Man.. the 32 is just awesome.. Congrats!

  • By IxLovexDelilah, August 8, 2009 @ 9:09 pm

Dave do you find the pocket clip on the 32 to make it a bit harder to do certain manipulations?

  • By nycdave212, August 9, 2009 @ 3:28 pm

Heya, Man. I did some flipping on the 32 just before replying to this to be sure my feelings were current… Yes.. the clip does affect it to some degree. But I believe if you spend enough time with it, you’ll adjust for it (there are some great vids out there of guys doing impressive stuff with it).

When I originally got it, I did call BM and requested some screw studs in order to remove the clip. However, they just sent me screws. I haven’t bothered them again yet.. Maybe will try again ;)

I wich the cold steel arc angel was still available.

  • By nycdave212, August 11, 2009 @ 9:24 pm

Heya, thanks for watching! I never got to play around with that model… What was your experience with it? Good stuff?

  • By KatanaFish213, August 12, 2009 @ 9:27 am

Ya I wish I could get one… they are discontinued. They were simular to the model 42. The biggest differences were the handles were longer, they had a removeable pocket clip, they had a regular T latch and the blade was made of 1095V or carbon V. There were other small differences but these were the most distinct ones. I really want to get one if I can but… The search continues/

  • By nycdave212, August 29, 2009 @ 3:40 pm

No worries, no insult taken.. simple answer – because.

Thanks for watching, however, I’m sorry that vid was unable to inspire you to pose a more germane, constructive, or even intriguing question or comment…. thanks for watching anyway.

  • By nycdave212, September 19, 2009 @ 5:34 pm

    Solid, Man… go for it…

  • By SYSPrison, October 18, 2009 @ 11:59 pm

Hey guess what?! I don’t know if you’ve heard, but they aren’t making the 42 anymore…

  • By nycdave212, October 19, 2009 @ 9:11 pm

Yep… kind of a shame… inevitable though… But I wouldn’t be surprised if we see it make an appearance in future sprint runs…

But the BM51 is really gonna be something!

    Thanks for watching & commenting!

My friend thinks he will like it more than the 42. He has small hands, and has trouble doing the full twirl and stuff because of the weight. I was like that when I first got my benchmade too, but he has been flipping for a long time. Hey, if you get one, will you put up a review video maybe? I’ve only seen one so far..I like to hear other peoples opinions before buying. Thanks a billion!

Of course, Man! Will be sure to get a vid up after I’ve had a couple of days with the knife. Give me a couple of weeks to get a hold of one and get some play time with it… I’m really looking forward to it.

    Thanks!

    Awesome! Thank you very much.
