Microtech Combat Troodon Review October 2009, OTF, out the front,
Thank you for joining us in another video description of the new Microtech Troodon (regular size) with tanto style blades. With a blade length of about 3.1 inches and its slim design, it is great for pocket carry. The tanto style blades is a favorite and Microtech didn’t disappoint us with the flawless action. Take a look at the video to see how they look and feel in the hand. You can check them out and make a purchase at our website www.thehollowgrind.com Thank you, Dave
The Combat Troodon is a precision made, out-the-front tactical knife. It is 25% larger than the flagship, the Troodon. It brings the slender handle, contoured shape, radical design elements, and a sophisticated internal mechanism which improves operational functionality and reliability to a larger scale. The Combat Troodon is designed for a broad spectrum of utility and close quarter combat applications. Specifications Troodon – “Wounding tooth” Action: Dual Action Auto Fire and Retract Blade Length: 3.75″ Blade Steel: S30V Blade Thickness: 0.095″ Glass Break: Tungsten tip glass break Handle: 6061-T6 Aluminum Mil Spec Hard Coat Anodize Handle Thickness: Sculptured Tapered Min 0.304″ Max 435″ Length Open: 9.10″ Length Closed: 5.20″ Pocket Clip: 301 Spring Tempered, Ambidextrous Weight: 5.3 oz. Quick demonstration of a Microtech Troodon D/E (double-edged) Tactical knife. It is double-action, which means it springs out AND in. A very safe design, because the spring is actually only under tension when you operate the switch. No danger of this going off in your pocket. Marvelously designed and built. Tight blade lockup. Legal to own and open carry in Florida (popular open carry knife method is to clip it in your pocket with the clip showing on the outside). Concealed carry is questionable and probably requires a permit. An “ordinary pocket knife” this is not.
