Microtech have been at the forefront of automatic knife production since the early 90s. This wonderfully designed knife shows as much with its smooth action, sharp satin blade, beautiful carbon fiber inlays, and lightweight aluminum handle. The Daytona is the perfect example of an OTF knife done right.
From… www.chinaknifes.com Currahee is a Cherokee Indian word, probably meaning that stands alone —- a hero, brave. In 1942, a group of young men gathered in Toccoa, Georgia to form a new paratrooper training camp, and then every day in the mountains near the train called Currahee. The team, which later became the 101st Airborne Division’s 506th, which was later made into a E with “Band of Brothers”in the company. The 506 Group’s training mission is Currahee. Thank you for watching another video description by The Hollow Grind. This video shows the Microtech Makora Fireant that I had the pleasure of acquiring as a pre-owned item. This knife was manufactured in 2006 and is in pretty good condition with the exception of some minor wear marks on the clip. I personally like the grip tape inserts on the Scarab, so this addition on a knife the size of an Ultratech was welcomed. It does give you an added grip on the handle. The double edge plain blade is also nice and slim. Overall I don’t think you can go wrong with this knife and the action was reliable and flawless. You can find this knife and others on my website at www.thehollowgrind.com
As you can see, the lock of the halo 3 fails where the piranha’s and scarab’s lock did not, but it’s still better than the nemesis IV. After the video i disassembled the knife and besides the charging lever that is now hard to pull ( because of the hammer), the only damage i saw was on the button lock : it was a little bit damaged where there is a contact with the base of the blade. Otherwise, the knife can still be fired with no problem at all, it works normally.
