Benchmade 140SBKD2 Nimravus: Excellent and Well Balanced

Great knife, I first bought this so I can have a fixed blade. I originally wanted a plain edge because I already own a semi serrated edge knife: the Benchmade 550SHG www.youtube.com So I settled with this :) Overall, great well balanced knife, good weight, just under 7 oz and can really do a lot while keeping a good edge. I really love the design of the blade. Down fall is that it maybe small for some uses and the jimping in the thumb rail is a little high. Yes, I bought the D2 version because I wanted the higher grade steel. Don’t get me wrong I love 154CM also. For me, it was availability and pricing at the time. I still recommend both. I also found that the 154CM is slightly lighter, which isn’t a bad thing. Minor note: they also have the 141 version which is the tanto tip. I purchased this knife from www.ombexpress.com They have great customer service and pretty good prices More information: www.benchmade.com Of course, you can meet me at my store at Western Knives and Utility in Fairfield, CA www.rjbuckknives.com

Benchmade LFK knife: Major League Size

If you’re needing the reach and the maybe the reach of a large bladed defensive knife, then the interesting BM LFK could fill the bill: fast deploying, razor sharp, good steel in a “new” design that merits consideration. The only real miss is the pivot-mounted carry clip but at a price point it’s good design and value. ADD to video: weight is 6.8 ounces, heavier than a regular tac folder but that this price of this huge blade. Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 8 out of 10

SOG Gov-Tac knife: Operator Choice

The excellent SOG Gov-Tac steps into to fill the void left by the loss SOG Government Agent in the SOG lineup. Like the Agent, the Gov-Tac makes a smart deployment knife choice, that is a knife thats well suited to LBE use by soldiers. A medium sized blade tactical and survival blade, the Gov-Tac offers a several advantages. At 13.4 oz carry weight, it is around 2.0 ounces lighter than most KaBars while still serving up a 6 blade. Made of AUS8 steel, this 6 inch blade offers excellent …

Benchmade Nim Cub II knife: 3.5 Ounce Combat Knife

The little Benchmade Nimravus Cub II (LIte) is impressive. The entire loadout weight on this diminutive blade is just 5.4 oz. The blade itself is only 3.5 ounces! Nevertheless the BM Nim Cub II gives us a perfectly sized 3.5 inch 154CM stainless blade that holds much utility and maybe a little tactical capability as well. The sharp jimping, deep fingerguard, and perfect balance help to solidly lock the Nim Cub in hand. The sheath is a homerun: super light, nylon so as not to absorb water …
