Great knife, I first bought this so I can have a fixed blade. I originally wanted a plain edge because I already own a semi serrated edge knife: the Benchmade 550SHG www.youtube.com So I settled with this
Overall, great well balanced knife, good weight, just under 7 oz and can really do a lot while keeping a good edge. I really love the design of the blade. Down fall is that it maybe small for some uses and the jimping in the thumb rail is a little high. Yes, I bought the D2 version because I wanted the higher grade steel. Don’t get me wrong I love 154CM also. For me, it was availability and pricing at the time. I still recommend both. I also found that the 154CM is slightly lighter, which isn’t a bad thing. Minor note: they also have the 141 version which is the tanto tip. The little Benchmade Nimravus Cub II (LIte) is impressive. The entire loadout weight on this diminutive blade is just 5.4 oz. The blade itself is only 3.5 ounces!
