The biggest difference between the Halo V series and the previous models is the size. At almost 11″ the Halo V is a big knife with a big blade (over 4″!). The Microtech HALO is a single action automatic opening – out the front – plunge lock that is 10.75 inches in OAL with a 4.5 inch blade with an ATS34 blade. Since the inception of the HALO II and HALO III (High Altitude Low Open) in 1996, they quickly became a well-known favorite in the knife world. The HALO is the first automatic single action, out-the-front (OTF), knife produced by Microtech back then. The HALO, when deployed, provides the absolute tightest lock up of any commercially made front opener available. When retracted, the knife can be easily concealed in its tactical carry sheath.
