Fake Microtech Destruction Test 1: FAIL
This is me pounding my knock off Microtech OTF Scarab through a 3/4″ piece of fiberboard with a hammer. Lets just say this think is stronger than I thought.

Microtech have been at the forefront of automatic knife production since the early 90s. This wonderfully designed knife shows as much with its smooth action, sharp satin blade, beautiful carbon fiber inlays, and lightweight aluminum handle. The Daytona is the perfect example of an OTF knife done right.
Thank you for watching another video description by The Hollow Grind. This video shows the Microtech Makora Fireant that I had the pleasure of acquiring as a pre-owned item. This knife was manufactured in 2006 and is in pretty good condition with the exception of some minor wear marks on the clip. I personally like the grip tape inserts on the Scarab, so this addition on a knife the size of an Ultratech was welcomed. It does give you an added grip on the handle. The double edge plain blade is also nice and slim. Overall I don’t think you can go wrong with this knife and the action was reliable and flawless.
