Due to financial reasons I buy cold steel but……If i had the means….Yeah…I’d buy this puppy, however I’m not too wild about AUS 8 steel…I prefer 1055 when possible but I understand the advantages of aus 8…All in all Ilike your reviews better than nutnfancy….Oh and uh Nice watch!

By dhs012, August 30, 2009 @ 3:04 pm
does this knife come in a straight edge version?
By wwwknivestowncom, August 30, 2009 @ 8:02 pm
The Seal Pup Elite can be had in plain edge and the Super SOG Bowie which is very similar in shape can be had in plain edge, but not the Seal Team Elite.

I looked at A LOT of knives before settling on the SOG Seal Team (not Elite, no rasp on the back edge). I owned a Ka-Bar, which was quite nice, but this knife has a larger tang and is much stronger. Also the Taiwanese workmanship is better.

By ugcsred2011, December 16, 2009 @ 12:31 pm
if i was to mount that sheath on a molle vest upside down (near my left side pectoral) and left the “knife straps” open would the knife fallout or is it reallly snug in the sheath? (may not be the smartest place to put a knife but im just curious)
By wwwknivestowncom, December 16, 2009 @ 4:00 pm
Yes, you could carry it that way. There is a hard plastic sleeve inside the ballistic nylon and the knife fits snugly into it.

By wwwknivestowncom, December 29, 2009 @ 11:29 am

By d2eux, December 30, 2009 @ 2:26 am
isnt it there on the butt of the handle?
By megasimon999, December 30, 2009 @ 6:46 am
Ill add my video reply to this of my seal elite, I think his is the seal 2000.
By d2eux, December 30, 2009 @ 4:29 pm
oh cool you have a seal elite. I was undecided between the elite, kabar next gen, and now I have found out about the SOG Gov-tac which looks good also. Not sure which one would last the longest but the elite is definately one of the top choices
By matajesus4, December 30, 2009 @ 8:29 pm
@megasimon999
no its the seal elite not 2000
By megasimon999, December 30, 2009 @ 9:03 pm
Mine is a seal elite too and I dont have the glass breaker……shame
By matajesus4, December 30, 2009 @ 9:23 pm
@megasimon999
maybe because this is a seal team elite not a seal pup elite
By megasimon999, December 30, 2009 @ 10:11 pm
LOL thats why !!
Thanks for that it was starting to bug me.
