Good review, Bob! Hey…question for you: I have a Flash II…but my locking mechanism doesn’t look like an arc-lock. It is more of a slider. Did SOG change the lock for the Flash series?

nice very nice…. but you dont sell overseas

Yes as far as I know they changed the look of it.. not so much the function but I could be wrong. I do know that it is NOT an arc lock though.

The lock used to have a straight slider as you say. It was changed to have an arc probably to simulate the look of an arc lock for consistency of appearance across the different lines of knives. The mechanical function though is unchanged and it is not an arc lock in reality, only simulates it in appearance.

so the ones you are selling on your site now have the “Arc lock” style lock?
By wwwknivestowncom, January 21, 2010 @ 4:34 pm
The ones sold at Knives Town are exactly the one in the video. The lock has an arcing or curved appearance as you see in the video, but be careful to understand I am NOT saying it is an “Arc Lock”. It is not an Arc lock it functions as I describe in the vid. A good lock, but different from an Arc Lock.
