Nutnfancy at SHOT Show: MICROTECH

A visit with Anthony Marfione Jr., son of Microtech owner and founder. We talk about the Microtech history, their different models, the passion of knifemaking, design, 2nd type of cool, their no-compromise philosophy, the MSAR STG-556, and about the best Christmas movie ever. It was lots of fun and Anthony does a good job of giving TNPrs an inside look to the Microtech vision and product line. Many thanks to Microtech.

lulz, he seemed to get pissed when involving his girlfriend.

On a side note, this video alone has gotten me VERY interested in an msar. Didn’t really have any interest in one until now for some odd reason.

I agree about the tunage. The bass almost made the pictures fall of my wall. But, I really like how he hits the road for our benefit.

What are you talking about? The Arc Angel was a balisong done by Cold Steel. Microtech did a balisong called the Tachyon.

Ahhh! Nutn like Nutn having fun with his nutn fancy cam…
Great vid, I’m not a knife man, but I enjoy the engr/tech part of it.
The STG556 is sweet! The E4 looks a lot like the AUG A3. Kudos on the fwd asst, hold open, & STANAG mag usage. & 1913 rails. This is truly a modular rifle!
Their website says it will be avail in 5.56, 7.62×39(7.62Kurz?) 5.45×39, & 6.8SPC.
Now, if they can come up with a 22LR conversion… (like the F88T Austeyr…)
    (Yeah, I sneaked a look at Wikipedia…)

Kudos to Anthony on keeping focused with everything else going on in the back. I think I’d be distracted…
Yes… the blush of young romance…

anthony is doing a good job

  • By ZuluXrayTango, January 23, 2010 @ 8:24 am

The STG556/E4 was introduced and released before the AUG A3, just for your info.

  • By JiroZero713, January 23, 2010 @ 8:35 am

    He just sold an STG556.

I was always skeptical of that rifle style and the price…but hearing that the trigger pull is great just makes my heart stutter.

The knives not so much because of the price. I’d rather put my cash down on a larger blade like a decent or awesome katana. Probably stupid to get but hey….second type of cool.

    I wish that bull-pup was in 7.62 X 39.
