  • By jungleprimitive, April 22, 2009 @ 8:26 pm

ya thats another option, or for different blade shapes smith and wesson has one too, exact same except for the blade. and its just not as cool as a duel action though, but i still am getting a schrade otf

I live in New Zealand. I have 2 microtechs, makoraII and a tanto ultratech. also 2 protechs. All illegal here. All imported straight through our astute customs department :) This scarab tanto dlc is what i want most now. Best looking ,even over the makoraII. I hope to own this within 6 mths

  • By MarchingBlueNGold, July 18, 2009 @ 4:16 pm

Microtech otf’s are awesome and really fun too handle, but defiantly not worth the 400 dollars you have to fork over

  • By cubixthe, July 18, 2009 @ 5:14 pm

Yeah, the same as a ROLEX is not worth 10.000$ :) Thing is You buy it for $400 and the value can only go up.

  • By ihreee, July 21, 2009 @ 12:54 am

i dont understand why you didnt show how the knifes retract, cus thats also really interesting …

  • By cubixthe, July 21, 2009 @ 1:22 am

To be honest… I forgot :) Sorry ’bout that !

  • By vafangulu3x, September 5, 2009 @ 6:27 pm

theyre about as great as they come but way too expensive, u can get great knives with the same action and look for a fraction of the price

  • By coolfool182, September 18, 2009 @ 1:03 am

personally i like the otfs that have a symetric double sided blade it looks better but as far as use a single sharp side works better
if ur going to get a otf dont be cheap if u go cheap ur not gonna be happy my first one was a $20 it sucked after 5 in and out the screws came out and when the blade went in it shot out the back were the screw came out

  • By Denomolise, September 21, 2009 @ 6:21 pm

    what knives would those be?

  • By Denomolise, September 21, 2009 @ 6:21 pm

    beautiful blades, great music bro

  • By Palamneus, September 26, 2009 @ 3:59 am

Yea for real don’t go cheap with OTF’s they are intricate and must be well-manufactured.

I almost bought a cheappie but a friend of mine told me I was better off sticking with microtech. Just do you research and when you buy it make sure you know how to take care of it or ask.

  • By coletheanimator, September 30, 2009 @ 11:09 pm

these are some really cool knives, i would buy one but not for $700, if you really want reliable self defense, then use that ca$h to buy a GUN! great knives though, dont get me wrong.

  • By cubixthe, October 1, 2009 @ 1:00 am

Well 1st of all guns aren’t easy to get all over the world :) US – Yes, where I live – NO. Second the $700 knives You’re talking about are the new Scarabs, whitch are way overpriced. I bought mine for less then half that price a few years back. Last thing – these are mainly collectibles for me, I use one or two of them but mainly I use knives that I made myself.

  • By Mider999, October 3, 2009 @ 3:43 am

ok why are these knives so expensive in the first plaec? How sharp are they? See i got a cheap shit machete from some guy claming it was from cold steel and it got dented up pretty fast and the black came off the blade when i hit a tree trunk with it……..so im guessing it was an imitation or just a piece of shit
