I need to start going to pawn shops after seeing this. My best friend found a 1st generation busse Steel Heart ATS-34, he ended up paying 125.00 for it was probably worth 600-700 at the time! great deal however when we took it backpacking it rusted really fast a readily even when we kept it oiled, not even close to Busee’s great stain resistant INFI now, but a heck of a deal! And great find for you too Cajun I subscribed, we were talking about springs I guess this is the one that broke.

I hope you get it back soon, BTW if you use the wrong type of oil, of too much the knife may stop firing or only about halfway out of the handle. A product called TRIFLOW in a aresol can is great for blasting the inside of the closed knife out to clean and lube it and for some reason it will not cause misfires. I have a new can full I will give you for free if you want it I sold my only Microtech OTF.

Thanks, for the info! Why did you sell you Microtech? Didn’t like it or just needed the money?

  • By thecajunblaze, July 12, 2009 @ 9:08 am

Gotta love the pawn shops! It’s like hunting for treasures. Most of the time it’s just JUNK!

  • By sevenedges, July 12, 2009 @ 9:18 am

I sold it because the blade wasn’t very practical, it was fun for a while but it was double edged and not very wide making it hard to sharpen and didn’t cut too well. Yours looks like it would be a better cutting blade, enjoy it, they are fun!

You may go in there 100 times and find junk, but it’s that one time you go in and find a great deal like this that makes it great. Thanks for watching.

Hey partner– I strongly recommend you use a thin, clean oil like Rem Oil in the future. In fact Microtech strongly encourages exclusive use of this oil.

Other great options are Benchmade Blue Lube, Quick Release and Tuff Glide.

And welcome to the world of automatic knives. Trust me, the addiction begins at first purchase with a Microtech.

Hi, I have a Makora II but this is the knife I really want, preferably with the two tone tanto blade as I have on my channel page. Do you know of anywhere in the world I can find this knife?

I got lucky and found it at a Pawn Shop! Good luck!
