Microtech Nemesis IV torture test 2

In this 2nd video i push the liner lock further into the handle so there is more contact between the liner lock and the blade : it does lock better this way but who would do that each time he fires the knife ? And it still failed. After this test the knife didn’t work properly as you saw in the video : it’s very hard to retract the blade in the handle and it fires randomly when you push the button, or you have to hit the handle on something to make the blade go out. It’s now a pain in the a.. to open and close this knife. I hope you enjoyed thoses videos.

    You just saved me money, i really wanted one to. Do you think you were just sold a lemon, or do you think microtech needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

    @melid211
    2nd answer. I think liner lock is not a strong lock at all.

    There not for stabbing into pieces of wood its a tactical blade for stabbing and/or slashing soft targets like people there made for the seals

    @snavenedyah No matter. I would still like to know that a blade $300> would still be able to withstand a strains like these…At least a couple of times y’know?

    I wonder how they (microtech) would treat a return?

    So, is the scarab truly the “tank” of Microtech?

    @jdseams
    I think so, at least in the otf category

    That knife is meant to be used on flesh not fucking plywood. Congrats on being a dumb shit. Go use it on a terrorist

    @twmw2011
    Of course it is not meant to stab plywood, i’m just showing the strength of the lock so people know its limitations.

    @Jreamer07 yes because everyone goes around stabbing plywood with a 300 dollar knife??? No one does that lol

  • By whatever7x7, October 27, 2011 @ 2:48 pm

    Good test and very informative. You will not be stabbing tires or the occasional fuel tank with this knife. Unlike the HALO V or Scarab.
