That is not correct. There is nothing in the criminal code listing assisted opening knives as illegal or prohibited . Switch operated knives, Gravity operated knives yes. Not spring assisted knives . In many Canadian citys like where I live every spring assisted knives available in the US are openly sold in every knife shop in town and I have no reservation caring my SOG Flash 1 or Flash 2 which I do daily both are great light well constructed knives
