i know that if the quality controls r good where ever the knife is made that it isnt a big deal, but i just think that when im paying that kind of money for a knife that it should atleast be made in the united states. i guess just for the peace of mind

If anyone out there is on the fence about this knife, I highly recommend it. Extremely solid lockup, it has quickly become one of my favorite knives (comes very sharp from the factory as well).

nope just a normal opening. Sorry is it wasn’t clear on the video.
It all has to do with how much force you put on the thumb stud. I’ve just had a lot of practice. One of the many reason I think laws against ‘assisted/auto’ opening are not well thought out. With a little know how I can have my knife out just as fast.

That looks like a nice and practical knife. Very useful review, you cover the important information and give a good impression of the knife.
I think it’s cool that you do the review together. It’s always great to see other couples who also share “unusual” or “typically male” (stupid concept) interests. =)

The comment about “no gimping” on the back of the knife made me chuckle. I noticed lately this seems to be almost a deal-breaker as far as the potential usability of a knife. When/why did this come about? I’ve been using folding & sheath knives for nearly 50 years for everything from whittling sticks to dressing big game & never found that “gimping” made a bit of difference unless the user couldn’t sharpen a knife. Like saying if a rifle doesn’t have checkering you can’t shoot with it. JMT fwiw

Anyone else who purchased this knife notice what looks like motor oil or something smudged on the scales of this knife? I can’t get it to come off. It’s subtle, but a little annoying.
