Did anyone notice the knife shown at the 1:50 point in the video? It looks like a 580 Barrage except with aluminum/steel handles instead of Valox. Is this version available, or is it just eye candy for this vid?

Hi! That is the Model 780 which was produced as a prototype run and then discontinued.

Hey bkcompany guys !
You need to make many more videos please..!
What about a video for every Benchmade knife?

I’m serious
I was interested in the Rukus, while youtube has many videos concerning this knife, I feel one professionaly made by you guys could be *very* nice.

nice video
i bought my first benchmade knife yesterday, the Osborne Axis 940 OD
now that im not in the military any longer i no longer need a 7inch Ka-Bar so i did my research and have come to my final choice “Benchmade”
never been happier to spend 200$ and probably the best 200 ever spent, truly amazed at how well the knife works.
Thanks Benchmade!!

I bought my Benchmade ATS-34 in June of 1993. I’ve carried it for 16 years. Still like new. Best purchase I’ve ever made.

I have a Benchmade Rukus; it’s more awesome than the videos make it look. For some reason the videos make the blade look shorter than it really is. I was amazed when I pulled my first one out of the shipping box – it was huge! I own 3 of them now: 1 to keep in the car, 1 to carry, and 1 to keep as a pretty “safe queen”.

I have also been carrying the same Benchmade knife for 15 years. And even after hard use it is still like new. By far the best mass produced knives made.

i bought my first benchmade knife today… the 551 griptilian… as an EDC. feels very solid in the hand and sharp. my question for benchmade though…? why the butterfly?
By bkcompany, January 12, 2010 @ 9:59 am
Benchmade prided itself with the production of Bali-Songs (also known as butterfly knives) in the beginning, which was morphed from the previous company, Bali-Song Inc.

@bkcompany
makes sense… thanks for the reply.
By UDflyer04, January 13, 2010 @ 1:32 pm
better not stop making balisongs….
By newwata, January 29, 2010 @ 2:44 pm
Well… kind of. The company Bali-Song Inc. was an independent company which was later integrated into Pacific Cutlery Co. Which changed it’s name to Benchmade Knife Co. around 1988. The company became so synonymous with butterfly knives it was only natural to adopt the butterfly logo of Bali-Song Inc. More or less.
