I miss the old time buck knives that had a wooden handle, but I am told the new handle is safer. At any rate, this is a great knife. I own one and bought another as a gift.

this is a great knife! it is sturdy, and a bit on the heavy side but i like that. the blade is strong, stays sharp, and is very very hard to bend! many of the knives iv had have bent at the the tip. just keep the knife dry after youv washed it because it does get rust spots. the rubber grips are great, easy to clean, and make sure the knife will never slip from your hand. because of this i recommend it over the version with the wood grips. the lock is very strong and will not fail unless you are using the blade improperly! the blade also opens very smoothly. all in all this knife is a must have for some one who demands a tuff reliable knife that you can take on the job or out hunting! comes with a nice very heavy duty sheath that you can mount on you belt ether horizontally or vertically.

I’ve bought 3 of these things now. The first one I bought was stolen along with my truck! Thankfully, the police recovered the truck but the knife was gone. I liked it so much I ordered another one. Just finished ordering a 3rd for my son as a gift.

Sturdy knife, solid construction, all stainless. Comes with a decent black nylon case. Holds an edge fairly well. I take it hunting and have skinned deers with it.

You should know they make another version of this knife with a gut hook on the back of the blade that might be handy if you wanted to use it to field dress game. Personally, I prefer to go without the gut hook in favor of the stronger blade, but that’s up to you.

Anyway, it’s a good rugged outdoor knife, can’t go wrong with this one.
