Yes…. I did it. I got a 690 – back, if you look up my post three months earlier. Got it at a great price, NM, no box. Still had the factory edge, a real safe-queen from the looks of it.

O yes, ditch that crappy rap in the background, please… Otherwise, thanks for the effort on the review.

I absolutely love the 690. I have seven of them I think. Two original Elishewitz signed, and a really sweet Limited edition Maple Burl handled 690 (008/500). Also the limited edition 690SBT. It has the black blade and the serrated butt. For actual use, I like the straight blade better.

Good review. You have a lot of interesting info on the background of this knife. May I suggest that you turn off that background noise. It detracts from your presentation. Thanks for your review.

God I miss that one. Lost it a few years back during a random police-search while minding my own business, driving in town. They just pulled me over and searched me. I was this close to being held in custody.

That’s The Netherlands for you, folks. Knives are scary and dangerous! Whoo-hoo! Fuckers. I’m still trying to buy one back but they’re really rare nowadays.

I got one of these in a first run. It had really brittle rose wood. The regular production has more resin in the wood and the blade is wider so the thumbstud is easier to access. I liked this type of knife for Elishewitz. I wish he would make more.

I lost this knife on the golf course this week. It was the real Elishewitz. I got it on fathers Day 5 years ago. I’ve lost it before and its turned up but this time I think it is gone. I’m very sad. Thats why I’m online looking for a new one.
