Benchmade 940 Osborne
I just got this one the other day. I got it to use as my new EDC, and so far it has been really nice; super sharp! I’ll try to put up a video comparing the Arc lock to the Axis lock. Hope you enjoy the video!

“It is anodized aluminum and the finish on it is actually kinda rough.”
Cool!!All the anodized aluminum type handles I’ve played with have been really smooth..

Yeah, same here. I was expecting it to be smooth.

I ordered a Benchmade Model 940 for one of my friends a few days ago (plain edge, satin finish).
Let’s see how this interesting knife performs.
S30V…yummy!

Wow, the nicest knife I’ve ever given to a friend was a Kershaw Storm. You sure are a nice guy! I wish you were my friend

I am *somehow* your friend
A virtual friend, though

wow man… ordering a knife like that for a friend… my birthday is coming up and im saving up for my own personal treat, a benchmade 530 plain edge.. the 5 ounce mel pardue knife has caught my eye.. new graham sells it for 62.50 and i think im actually gonna spend my money on a seperate ps3 controller since thats my gift
By JulianH21, May 12, 2008 @ 10:06 am
Hi,
the 530 is quite a nice and lightweight knife. I often thought about buying. Maybe I will buy the knife sometimes in the near future?
“Small”, lightweight… good material mix… = perfect EDC? I’ll think about it.
Currently I’m waiting for a new Spyderco with (most likely) CPM-M4 steel to arrive ^^

It is kind of hard to tell from the video, but are the handle scales anodized black or are they dark green like the models that are availiable now???
By mrskillz001, August 30, 2008 @ 6:01 pm
The handle scales are dark green on the model I own.

By sirarrowmen, June 13, 2009 @ 9:13 pm

Great knife, really thinking about getting it. How much did you pay for it?
By mrskillz001, August 7, 2009 @ 6:19 pm
I don’t remember what I paid, but I got it from newgraham(dot)com for a pretty good price.
By cliffrex, September 21, 2009 @ 9:23 am
That’s a 942, not a 940. Almost identical, but with the black handle it’s called a 942.
By mrskillz001, September 21, 2009 @ 9:53 pm
Trust me man, its a 940, the handle only looks black in the video. Take a closer look when I compare it with the Vulcan, the handle should appear more green against the actual black handle of the other knife.
