I think the AFCK was the best Benchmade ever made, even though I never owned one I had about a dozen Bechmades. Now I am a Chris Reeve Sebenza guy. I also like Microtech knives too, although the quality is slipping. I am going to buy another auto Socom soon. stonewashed. I love the very large wide blade of the socom. have fun.
Sebenza – It’s too hard for me! )))) From all of Microtech knifes, I like only Amfibian(I have a Tan Camo). Benchmade 9130, Microtech Amfibian? and MOD Trident – my favorite EDC knifes (all of them PE)! It’s like a Artos, Portos and Aramis! And I dreaming to add to them the D’Artanian – a AFCK Large folder, but it’s discontinued! ((((
I had five AFCK knives, sold four and regret it! But I will never sell my 806 D2. I had the M2 HSS mini plain edge, the ATS-34 combo edge in mini, and TWO 806 D2s and an ATS-34 full size (pre axis lock – liner lock) 800 AFCK.
For any one who really likes this knife, you can buy the new version. The blade shape size (I think) etc. is still all the same, the only thing that may be different is the handle may be zytel, but I could have sworn I saw a G-10 version somewhere. Anyway something to look into.

But thanks for the review.

I’ve had an AFCK for 12 years and it’s still going strong. Advanced Fancy Cooking Knife for the win
