Benchmade 2550 Mini Reflex: Auto Perfection

Perfectly sized for either every day carry or even tactical use, the BM 2550 is a superb auto. I really can’t level many criticisms at the 2550. Yes sharp jimping on the top would be nice. But it’s perfectly sized and shaped 154CM blade, tight lockup, well-executed safety, strong clip, and outstanding fit and finish are tops. If you’re a police officer, it’s the ideal auto knife. And if you’re wondering what should be your first auto knife with the most capability (EDC or otherwise) this …

Wish you could purchase this knife! It’s no longer available as demo’d here by Nutnfancy. Only black serrated, or “regular” plain or serrated. Sure would like to purchase on like the one shown here.

yeah, thats why I usually just have one knife, I cant choose between them! and if I do I usually chose one over the other most of the time so its pointless to have them

blackfeetmageet – California is a a total police state. Completely tyrannical and dictatorial. Soon we wont be allowed to have a paperclip in our pocket.

YOU CAN HAVE AN AUTOMATIC / SWITCHBLADE IN CALIFORNIA! The stipulation is 2 inch blade or LESS. California is slowly being disarmed, the highest population state in the country. Prepare for Martial Law and the end of your civil rights.

UDflyer04 – The “correctional system” is completely cannibalistic. The states actually make money off of keeping you imprisoned. Lots of money for the Unions, the construction, etc

The United States puts MORE people in Jail Per Capita than even China! We’ve added millions upon millions of people to the jails in the past 15 years.

One of the Hallmarks of Tyranny is that ANYONE AT ANYTIME can be fined, imprisoned, cited, etc. for just about anything you can imagine, like a SMALL pocket knife.

wow calm down dude, automatic knives arent everything, theres plenty of great manuals. but calling california a dictorial state? thats a little extreme…

  • By phuphroo, July 23, 2009 @ 6:36 pm

yea thats especially true when compared to the amount of people put in jail for drug possession, rather than real crimes such as murder

  • By mrjustin5, July 23, 2009 @ 6:38 pm

Phuphroo – The whole country is a covert dictatorship. We were in a OVERT (in your face) dictatorship before 1776.

One of the hallmarks of a tyrannical Gov is when a person at anytime, anywhere, can be fined, cited, arrested or imprisoned for just about anything.

They’re trying to crush free speech & they’re going to ban even more guns until the only thing we’re allowed to have would be a paperclip. You need to go to ArnoldExposed (dot) com and infowars (dot) com & read the news for yourself.

Say whut? The 9050 is a great utility knife! Its sharp as hell and totally reliable. The handle design is a proven classic. Sorry, can’t agree with you on that point, dude.

    agreed.

im thinking of getting a caryy knife can u tell me witch u prefer a benchmade 530 sk or this?

  • By chainlink1, August 20, 2009 @ 6:15 pm

I have this knife and love it, well a couple. I am however ambidextrous and prefer to carry lefty on my daily carry. This knife in turn makes it slow deployment for me. I wish so very much they made in a lefty model. Yes I know it would be more expensive but I would still get it…in fact I would unload all my autos but 1 or 2 for lefty configuration. But I doubt that will happen.

Great knife either way I love the size and contour of it…..holds an edge really well and is easy to sharpen.

that’s my knife, it’s funny to see this one, looks all black and new… all the edges of mine are silver from wear… a great knife, though… still functions like new after 4 or so years of use… only cut myself once, when i left the safety off and it opened in my pocket

I absolutely love this knife, came from assisted openers and love the full autos. perfect size and blade shape. I live in montgomery AL, and was able to get this w/o being mil/LEO. was kinda expensive at $165, but it’s a benchmade so it’ll probably last for life.
